So today was cool. Felt good to swim 25 meters :-). Pool temp was nice. Jumping in was cold as usual but I became acclimated very quickly. Today as I swam I started to think about how the water made me feel like it’s another dimension. Swimming is literally flying. I felt this way because when I got to the pool the only lanes available for open swim began at 8ft and went to 12ft 4”. Due to the pandemic I try to stay away from people as much as possible. So I went to the very last lane….. While swimming I realized how far down the bottom was & it came to me that I was FLYING above the ground. Swimming is Flying! The water is the extra dimension that carries you! Lol!
My workout today felt great even though I was a little intimidated by it at first; I got it complete. I was intimidated because it had a series of nonstop 300s and I haven’t swam 300 meters straight since I started back training. (It’s been almost 2 years. Had a baby)(I’ve been training for about 4 months) (My baby boy is 6 months ) and this workout consisted of a main set of 4- 300s.🤦🏽♀️
Workout for today: Warmup: 200 freestyle 100 kickboard 200 choice. Main Set: 4 x 300 meters straight. Cool down: 300 choice (I used fins).
Calorie Burn: 482!
